About Kinderfeets
Kinderfeets™ is the product of award-winning designer and Netherlands native, Oscar Mulder. Having grown up in the Netherlands, where bicycling is a way of life, Oscar wanted to share this with his then two-year old son, Sebastiaan, in their life in San Francisco.
Oscar searched for the perfect push bike to fit Sebastiaan’s needs, but couldn’t find exactly what he was looking for. The great-grandson of a Dutch bike designer, and a designer by trade, Oscar pursued the challenge himself and created a prototype.
Once he and his son began cruising around their neighbourhood, neighbours starting asking questions about the small push bike and urging Oscar to pursue the creation as a full-fledged business. Kinderfeets was born soon after.
Inspired by traditional Dutch bikes, Kinderfeets is a play on words for the Dutch word “kinderfiets” which translates to “child’s bike.”
Kinderfeets is a small training bike with a low step-through frame without pedals that allow children’s feet to touch the ground–it’s the best way to prepare them for learning to ride a full-sized bike.
The innovative foot pegs Oscar added serve as comfort tools to familiarise children with how and where their feet will be placed when they graduate to a full bike; the pegs ultimately allow them to find their balance, comfortable speed and prepare them for pedals. The bike’s adjustable saddle allows for flexibility and complete comfort.
When Oscar’s twins were born 5 years later, he decided to develop a new push bike to add to the collection; the Kinderfeets Tiny Tot is designed to get little ones riding as early as one year.
Kinderfeets encourages children to live an active, adventurous lifestyle along side their parents. The award-winning quality push bike models are eco-friendly and feature a whimsical, patented design. The wooden frames are handmade and the bikes come in a variety of chalk-board finishes.

Kinderfeets' Environmental Philosophy:
There is a Native American proverb that cautions us to “treat the Earth well … we are borrowing it from our children.” Kinderfeets set out, they wanted to make an investment in their children’s future.
Their balance bikes are made from sustainable birch wood, from a replenishable source. The airless tires are completely biodegradable. They use minimal packaging material made from recycled paper and water based-ink. The chalkboard finish paint (not available on Tiny Tot) is water-based and the lacquer is non-toxic. And with Trees for the Future, Kinderfeets plants a tree for every bike we sell.
Their efforts recently earned the Toy Man® Eco-Recognition Seal, but it's our children’s children who will benefit from from their environmentally conscious efforts.
Shipping & Delivery
Here's the Quick & Dirty Rundown of Everything You Need to Know for Shipping & Delivery:
- NZ orders of $125+ are eligible for FREE SHIPPING
- Orders shipping in NZ that are under $125 are charged a flat-rate of $9.00 per order (no rural surcharges)
- International shipping will be calculated at the checkout
- Generally, orders placed by 12:00 PM on business days are dispatched the same day as ordered, via overnight courier (meaning you should have your gorgeous goodies 1-2 business days after placing your order)
- 95% of packages are shipped via OVERNIGHT COURIER (Courier Post) as our standard level of service (exceptions are big & bulky items to the North Island)
- Internationl orders are shipped via NZ Post AirMail or DHL Express (you can select at checkout and delivery timeframes are provided there for each service)
- We DO NOT charge a rural surcharge (please allow additional days for rural delivery)
- Please anticipate delays after weekends, holidays and promotional times due to increased order volumes
- You'll receive a shipping confirmation e-mail when your order ships (these can sometimes end up on Spam or Junk, so please have a look there)
- Orders are dispatched Monday through Friday (excluding public holidays)

Naked Baby Eco Boutique guarantees that you will be delighted by your shopping experience with us. If you are not happy with any aspect of your purchasing experience, please let us know so we may resolve these issues. Our aim is to not only meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act, but to exceed our customers’ expectations.
Returns and Exchanges (The Quick and Dirty):
- You are welcome to return an eligible item for a refund to the original payment method within 21 days of purchase
- For purchases made online, the cost to return the item to us will be at the customer's expense (and the original shipping fee is non-refundable)
- Should you wish to exchange size or colour of an item, we will happily do so as part of our complimentary one-way exchange program (you ship the original item to us at your cost, and we will ship the replacement item to you at no additional shipping charge)
- Outside of 21 days, items may be exchanged or store credit provided, for up to 90 days
- PLEASE CHOOSE CAREFULLY FROM OUR OUTLET as these items are STRICTLY FINAL SALE (sorry, no refunds, exchanges, returns, or store credits)
- Items MUST be returned in perfect, saleable condition, including the packaging (unwashed, unused, unworn - please package carefully so they don't get damaged when shipping back to us)
- All refunds will be processed via the original payment method, once the product is received by us in saleable condition, within 7 business days
- In the unlikely event that an item is faulty, please get in touch with us ASAP to chat about next steps (please DO NOT use the item)
